Off-Road and Performance Tire Markings
Off-road and performance tires are marked to highlight their specialized capabilities:
AT (All-Terrain): All-terrain tires are marked with ‘AT’ and are designed for both on-road and off-road use. They have a rougher tread to grip better on dirt roads, but still work well on regular roads.
MT (Mud-Terrain): Mud-terrain tires, marked with ‘MT,’ are specifically designed for off-road conditions, particularly in muddy or rocky terrains. These tires have deeper and more aggressive tread patterns to enhance grip and durability in challenging environments.
ZR (High-Performance): Performance tires, especially those designed for high-speed applications, often feature the ‘ZR’ marking. These tires are designed for sports cars and high-performance vehicles, providing excellent handling, cornering, and speed.
